PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the Respondent Police to file a final report in Crime No.71/2022 dated 10.08.2022 on the file of the Respondent Police, within stipulated time frame may be fixed by this Court.

O RDER This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the Respondent Police to file a final report in Crime No.71/2022 dated 10.08.2022 on the file of the Respondent Police, within stipulated time frame may be fixed by this Court.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the defacto complainant in this case. He lodged a complaint before the respondent police. Based on his complaint a case in Crime No.71 of 2022 has been been registered for the offences punishable under Sections294(b), 506(i) of IPC r/w Section 3(1)(r) & 3(1)(s) of SC/ST POA Amendment Act, 2015. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case was registered in the year 2022 under Special Act, so far no progress in this case.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that investigation in this case have been completed and final report was filed before the Special Court for Trial Cases under SC/ST Act (POA), Sivagangai, on 09.07.2023.

4.The learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Trial Cases under SC/ST Act (POA), Sivagangai, shall process the above said final report within the time stipulated as per Rules. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the contents of the final report, he can workout his remedy through appropriate proceedings. 5.With the above said directions and liberty, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
