PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to expedite the proceedings filed by the petitioner under Na.Ka.No.A1077/2019, pertaining to regularising the service of the petitioner as bus body cleaner and further direct the 2nd respondent not to discontinue the service of the petitioner as bus body cleaner pending the proceedings under No.1077 of 2019 on the file of the 1st respondent. 1/4

ORDER

The petitioner working in the 2nd respondent corporation has filed an application before the Assistant Commissioner of Labour (Enforcement), Tirunelveli for conferment of permanent status under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act on 04.03.2019 in Na.Ka.No.A1077/2019 and the petitioner has filed this petition for a direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Labour to expedite the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.A1077/2019.

2.When this writ petition is taken up for hearing the learned counsel for the second respondent submits that the above application of the petitioner has been disposed of by order dated 04.11.2024 directing the respondent corporation to confer the permanent status on the petitioner and therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition. 2/4
