O R D E R

The instant Writ Petition has been filed by an aspirant to the post of daily wages driver in the respondents Transport Corporation, seeking a mandamus as against the respondents to permit him to join duty on the basis of the appointment order dated 14.03.2024.

2. The learned counsel for the Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents herein submits that since the petitioner was involved in a criminal case, he was not permitted to join duty.

3. The contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is that he was acquitted in C.C.No.540 of 2022 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate-Ilayangudi, Sivagangai on 04.09.2024 and thereafter, he has given a representation on 20.09.2024 to permit him to join duty. Since there is no 2/4

response, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.09.2024 and pass order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This Writ Petition stands disposed of, with above directions. No costs.
