Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to grant the petitioner a Certificate of Naturalization as per Rule 15 of Citizenship Rules, 2009 based on his Citizenship Application in MHA File No. 2011080438 within a time limit stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to consider the application submitted by the petitioner for issuance of certificate of Naturalisation as per Rule 15 of the Citizenship Rules, 2009, in the light of the formal registration of the petitioner as a citizen of India by the communication dated 12.06.2018, and dispose of the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

2.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
