PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to provide electricity connection to the property of the petitioners in S.F.273/3 of Achimangalam Village, Karur Taluk, on the basis of the petitioner application dated 04.03.2014 and on the basis of the direction issued by the Civil Court in I.A.657 of 2018 in O.S.242 of 2018 dated 30.11.2018 and on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 19.12.2018 and 26.04.2019 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to provide electricity service connection to the writ petitioners in S.F.No.273/3 of Achimangalam Village, Karur Taluk, on the basis of the application made by the petitioners dated 04.03.2014.

2.This Court by an order dated 09.04.2025 in C.R.P(MD)No.2942 of 2023 in paragraph No.11 has held as follows:

"11.It is hereby clarified that the revision petitioners/defendants 5 and 6 shall be entitled to receive free electricity service connection for an extent of 3.51 acres on the southern side of S.No.273/3 pending disposal of the suit." 2/5

3.In view of the order passed in the revision petition, the respondents 1 to 4 herein are directed to provide electricity service connection to the writ petitioners for an extent of 3.51 acres on the southern side of S.No.273/3 in Achimangalam Village, Karur Taluk within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.This writ petition stands allowed to the extent as stated above. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. 09.04.2025 2/2 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No RJR 3/5
