This Habeas Corpus Petition was filed by the mother of the detenu on the ground that some police officials came to her house on 08.11.2022 and took away her son and detained him illegally. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the detenu was arrested in a case in Crime No.567 of 2022 for an offence under Section 395 IPC and the detenu was remanded to judicial custody by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirukazhukundam, on 12.11.2022.

3.Since the detenu has been remanded through an order passed by the jurisdictional Magistrate, the detention cannot be stated to be illegal. Recording the statement made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
