ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the first respondent to consider and provide protection in the eve of Puratasi Festival scheduled on 17.10.2024 for Arulmigu Sree Muthalamman, Sree Periya Karuppusamy Chinna Karuppusamy, Sree Panna Karuppasamy and Sree Nondichamy Temples which are situated in L.Valayapatti, Lingavadi Village, Natham Taluk, Dindigul District based on the representation given by the writ petitioner dated 04.10.2024.
2. Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the first respondent. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that the respondent police may be directed to give permission 2/4
taking note of the resolution passed in the peace committee meeting held last year.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent would submit that the Tahsildar, Natham has given a letter to the first respondent stating that they have no power or jurisdiction to conduct peace committee meeting pursuance of the orders of the High Court.
5. Considering the above, the first respondent is directed to consider the writ petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2024 and take a decision today itself.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
