PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned proceedings of the 4th respondent in Se.Mu.Ka.No.93/2023/EVaA dated 11.09.2023 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents not to demolish the ancient Arulmigu Kaliamman Maduraiveeran Karuppasamy temple of the the Arunthathiyar community people of Kombai, Uthamapalayam Taluk. (Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the official respondents made a submission that the encroachment in entirety has been removed.

2.In view of the fact that the encroachments have already been removed, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken in respect of the grounds raised in the writ petition. It is needless to state that the Government authorities are bound to protect the public properties and to prevent any further encroachments over the government lands.
