PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to grant ordinary leave for the period of 30 days to the petitioner's husband, namely, Paneerselvam, (C.P. No.1106) who is convicted for 10 years in Economic Offence case and is languishing Central Prison, Madurai, for the past 2 1⁄2 years by considering the petitioner's representation dated 30.09.2024. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Vignesh For Respondents : Mr.A.Thiruvadi Kumar, Additional Public Prosecutor.

ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents to grant ordinary leave for 30 days to the husband of the petitioner, Paneerselvam, who is convict prisoner No.1106, who is convicted for 10 years in Economic Offence case and now confined at Central Prison, Madurai. A representation had been given on 30.09.2024.

2. The reasons for which ordinary leave is sought is to take decision relating to the marriage of the daughter in the family.

3. Mr.A.Thiruvadi Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor had taken notice for the respondents.

4. A direction is given to the respondents to pass necessary orders on the representation given by the petitioner within a period of 10 working days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
