ORDER

The petitioner has approached this court for a direction to the respondents to include his name in the central register maintained by the 2nd and 3rd respondents and to provide salary with leave on the 7th day of the week as per the proceedings in Na.Ka.Tho/2076, dated 01.07.2015 by considering his representation.

2.The petitioner claims that he was appointed as rubber latex tapping worker on 29.12.1991 through the employment exchange. He was promoted as protection worker as per proceedings No.Na.Ka.Tho/276, dated 01.07.2015. According to him all the protection workers are enrolled in the central name register, however his name has not been included in the said register. His name was registered only in the general register which is meant for the workers of scraping weeds and grasses in the rubber planation. Therefore, according to the petitioner, he is entitled for enrolling his name in the central register and 2/5

entitled for holiday with salary.

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that he has not been provided with one day leave and salary in a week though he has been promoted as a protection worker. Therefore, he has filed this writ petition. 4.The respondents have filed a counter affidavit, wherein they have specifically taken a stand that the petitioner's name was also registered and maintained in the central register for field workers and the same is extracted as under:

"Since the petitioner has been allotted field work like other field workers, his name is also registered and maintained in the central register of field workers." 5.In view of the specific stand taken by the respondents in their counter affidavit, this writ petition is allowed. 25.10.2025 Internet : Yes / No DSK 3/5
