ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for compassionate appointment for herself.
2. The petitioner's father, Mr.V.Ganesan died on 31.01.2006, while he was in service with the respondents. The petitioner's mother submitted an application within a period of three years from the date of death of Mr.V.Ganesan, seeking for compassionate appointment and the same has been rejected on 27.08.2008. Now, the petitioner claims that she has been sending repeated representations to the respondents seeking for compassionate appointment for herself.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that other legal heirs of the deceased V.Ganesan had given no objection for the petitioner getting compassionate appointment on account of the death of Mr.V.Ganesan and he also claims that the mother of the petitioner is living with the petitioner. But he would submit that the petitioner was not aware of the rejection order dated 27.08.2008. 2/4
4. Since the petitioner is living with her mother, the petitioner cannot now state that she is not aware of the rejection order dated 27.08.2008, under which the respondents have rejected the request of the petitioner's mother for compassionate appointment.

As seen from the documents placed on record, the order dated 27.08.2008 passed by the respondents rejecting the request of the petitioner's mother for compassionate appointment has also been received by the petitioner's mother. The petitioner's father, Mr.V.Ganesan died on 31.01.2006. After lapse of almost 18 years, the question of entertaining this writ petition filed by his daughter, when the respondents had already rejected the request of the petitioner's mother as early as on 27.08.2008 does not arise.
6. In the result, there is no merit in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
