Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to take the appeal dated 22.08.2023 filed by the petitioner under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act on his file and adjudicate the same in accordance with law and pass appropriate order to issue patta in respect of Survey No.292/8 situated at Periyakollapatti Village, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District. ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. 2.The second respondent is directed to dispose of the petition mentioned appeal on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent will put the interested persons, if any on notice before 2/4

passing final order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is open to the second respondent to pass order one way or the other.
