ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to pass an order directing Respondents 1 to 2 to afford sufficient Police Protection to the life and limb of the Petitioner against Respondents 3 to 6 and their relatives and friends.

2. Learned Government Advocate submitted that earlier, the matter was referred to the Mediation Centre but no settlement was arrived. The wife of the petitioner is making serious allegation against the petitioner / husband. It is the grievance of the petitioner that his hard earned money was sent to his wife, when he was in abroad and the same was swindled by her and she is not permitting him to enter into the village. Hence the petitioner made a representation seeking police 2/4

protection. He further submitted that proceedings are pending before the Family Court, Nagercoil between the petitioner and his wife.

3. In view of the above submission, there is no question of providing police protection to the petitioner from his wife. Since proceedings are pending before the Family Court, I find no reason to entertain this petition.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 13.12.2023 NCC :
