ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed by a retired Assistant of the respondent Municipal Corporation seeking a Mandamus for payment of arrears of interest for the subscription amount deducted from her salary towards General Provident Fund, while she was in service. The petitioner has further prayed for Dearness Allowance Arrears, Vth Pay Commission Arrears and Revised Pay Commission Arrears within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent Corporation, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is eligible to receive interest for the subscription amount deducted from the salary of the petitioner towards General Provident Fund and Rs.65,000/-would be paid on or before 15.11.2023 and the balance amount shall be paid to the petitioner on or before 15.01.2024. As far as the prayer of the writ petitioner with regard to the 2/5
Dearness Allowance Arrears, Vth Pay Commission Arrears and Revised Pay Commission Arrears are concerned, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation submits that the said amounts are not due to the writ petitioner. As far as the payment under the said Heads are concerned, they are left open. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the respondent Corporation with relevant records.
3. This writ petition stands allowed to the extent as stated above. There shall be no order as to costs.
