ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a retired Conductor seeking a Mandamus as against the Transport Corporation for payment of interest for their belated settlement of his terminal benefits.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, he retired as a Special Grade Conductor on 31.12.2021 and his terminal benefits were settled on 13.03.2022 after a delay of two years. The petitioner has sent a representation on 18.07.2023, seeking interest for the delayed payment. 2/5

3. The respondents are directed to consider the said representation, dated 18.07.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands allowed to the extent as stated above.
