PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to remove the encroachment of the fourth respondent in Survey Nos.187, 188-1, 189, 190 in the petitioner's Village Nallatinputhur, Kovilpatti Taluk, Thoothukudi District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2019. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is to direct the third respondent to remove the encroachments.

2.The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that Survey No.187 has been classified as "Oorani", which is a water body and Survey Nos.188/1, 189 and 190 have been classified as "Natham".

3.In view of the above, the encroachments, if any, are to be removed by the competent authorities by following the procedures as contemplated under the relevant statutes and rules in force, after affording due opportunity to the parties. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
