ORDER

By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that her husband is working as a Welder in Bahrain and he is suffering from kidney ailments. His passport was expired and therefore, the petitioner has applied for renewal of the passport. However, the petitioner's application has not been considered so far, as the petitioner's husband has been involved in four criminal cases. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 would submit that the case registered against the petitioner's husband for the offences under Sections 294(b) and 323 IPC is charged sheeted and it is taken on file in S.T.C.No.266 of 2024, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Manamelkudi. 4.Considering the nature of the case pending against the petitioner, this Court is of the view that, that cannot be an impediment in renewing the passport of the petitioner's husband. Therefore, the 1st respondent is directed to 2/4

consider the application of the petitioner and pass necessary orders within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
