Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to accept my gift of 10 cents of land in S No.241/4A1, Vumathanadu Village, Peravurani Taluk and Thanjavur District and classify the same as burial ground for Agamudaiyar Community people of Aladikkadu Village by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2023.

ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.It is not in dispute that there is a graveyard in the petition-mentioned land. The grievance of the petitioner is that proper access facility is not there. It is the duty of the official respondents to ensure that the notified graveyard is having proper access. As and when, any death occurs in the village, there shall not be any restriction in taking the dead bodies to the notified graveyard/cremation ground. It is the duty of the official respondents to ensure the same.

3.With this direction to the official respondents, this writ petition is disposed.
