ORDER

Mr.M.Thirunavukkarasu, learned counsel on record for writ petitioner and Mr.K.Mu.Muthu, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of all four respondents are before this Court.

2.With consent of learned counsel on both sides, main writ petition is taken up, heard out and is being disposed of. 3.Prayer in instant Writ Petition is expedited disposal of what according to writ petitioner is an 'appeal' which is pending before the 'first respondent / District Revenue Officer', who shall hereinafter be referred to as 'said DRO' for the sake of brevity. 1/3

4.Though the writ petitioner describes his petition to the first respondent dated 14.04.2019 as an appeal, it comes to light in the hearing that this is a revision under Section 13 of 'The Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1986)' ('said Act' for brevity) as it is directed against an order of second respondent which in turn appears to have been made in exercise of appellate powers of second respondent under Section 12 of said Act. 5.Be that as it may, it is not necessary to dilate further on these aspects of the matter as the limited request of writ petitioner is to expedite and dispose of aforementioned revision dated 12.04.2019 pending with the respondent. 6.Learned State Counsel submitted that first respondent, who is in seizin of revision, will dispose of the aforementioned revision dated 12.04.

2019 on its own merits (page Nos.25 and 26 of the typedset of papers forming part of the case file). 7.The first respondent is directed to dispose of aforementioned revision of the petitioner dated 12.04.2019 on its own merits, in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after putting on notice writ petitioner, all others concerned and after giving a reasonable opportunity to writ petitioner, all others concerned.

8.The order disposing of aforementioned revision shall be communicated by the first respondent to the writ petitioner and others concerned (if any) under due acknowledgement within seven (7) working days from the completion of aforesaid exercise. 9.Instant Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
