Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to admit the petitioner in the NEET-PG (MD) based on the petitioner's application made seeking admission into the NEET-PG for the year 2023 by considering the application dated 22.09.2023 made for conversion from Indian national to NRI within the time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the National Medical Commission (third respondent).

2. The petitioner has successfully completed MBBS degree. The petitioner applied for getting admission for PG course under regular stream. He now wants to convert the application as one under NRI 2/4

quota. Since the petitioner encountered certain difficulties, the present writ petition came to be filed.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India informed the Court that the petitioner's application has already been converted as one under NRI quota.

4. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
