ORDER

Seeking to rectify a wrong classification of land and seeking the issue of separate patta, the petitioner had made several representations to the respondents which has not borne fruit.

The petitioner would submit that on 18.05.1954, her mother-inlaw Krishnammal purchased the property comprised in S.No.722/1B1, New S.No.1366, measuring an extent of 272 sq. ft. including pathway situate in A.Karisalkulam Village, Thiruvengadam Taluk, Tenkasi under a registered deed bearing Document No.633/1954. After her demise, the petitioner's husband Rajagopal was in possession and enjoyment of the property. He died on leaving the petitioner as his legal heirs. Therefore, the petitioner has submitted an application on 30.01.2024 for issue of patta, which has not been considered till date. Therefore, the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4. Taking into account the above, a mandamus is issued to the respondents directing them to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2024 and 02.04.2024 and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
