ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. It is beyond dispute that the petitioner is a street vendor. She had been eking out her livelihood by selling sugar cane juice near Mattuthavani Bus Stand. The petitioner's case will be considered as per the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014.

3. The first respondent shall pass an order by treating the petitioner on the same basis as that all the other similarly placed street vendors. Endeavor of the Corporation shall be to identify any alternative site for the petitioner from where she can carry on her vending activities. This exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order . Till such an order passed by the first respondent, the status quo as on date shall be maintained. 2/4

4. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
