ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent transport corporation, seeking a mandamus for payment of interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits. 2.It is the contention of the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner that he had attained superannuation on 30.09.2022 and the terminal benefits were released only on 23.05.2023. Seeking interest, the petitioner has sent a representation on 23.09.2024. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.Considering the above said facts, the respondents are directed to pay 6% interest per annum from the due date till the date of disbursement within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
