Respondent Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to transfer the patta in favour of the petitioner for the property comprised in Survey No.128/18A to an extent of 0.4.00 Hectares (10 Cents) situated at Sevalpunjai Village, Sevavoorani, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District in the light of the Judgment and Decree passed in O.S.No. 21/1998 on the file of the learned District Munsif Court, Sivagangai by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 24.07.2024 within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to the respondent to transfer the patta in favour of the petitioner's name in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.128/18A to an extent of 0.4.00 Hectares (10 Cents) situated at Sevalpunjai Village, Sevavoorani, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District in the light of the Judgment and Decree passed in O.S.No. 21/1998 on the file of the learned District Munsif Court, Sivagangai by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 24.07.2024.

The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that though the request has been made for change of patta with reference to 30 cents, the revenue authorities could mutate the records only with reference to 20 cents since there is an error in the UDR patta where only 20 cents have been granted in the name of the petitioner's vendor. The said order has to be rectified, for which the petitioner has to approach the

District Revenue Officer.

3. Recording the same, this writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the District Revenue Officer for getting necessary rectification to the UDR patta. Upon his getting UDR patta rectified, the respondents shall effect the mutation in the revenue records. No costs.
