ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents police to give adequate police protection to the petitioners and their land, based on the complaint of the first petitioner, dated 13.11.2019.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) for the respondent police. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that on the complaint lodged by the petitioners, the second https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.17330 of 2019 respondent police registered a case in Crime No.159 of 2018, for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 447, 323 and 506(ii) IPC. In this regard, the respondents 5 to 6 are filed a suit in O.S.No.1005 of 2018, before the Sub-Court, Melur and the same is pending.

4.At this circumstances, the police protection cannot be granted to the petitioners. However, the third respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.159 of 2018, and file a final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
