ORDER

The Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to dispose of the petition in R.C.O.P.No.1 of 2019, pending on the file of the Principal District Munsif Court, Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi, within a specified time fixed by this Court.

2. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioners. Since the revision petition is filed for early disposal of the case, the issuance of notice to the respondent is not necessary.

3. The revision petitioners have filed the eviction petition in R.C.O.P.No.1 of 2019 to vacate the respondent from the petition mentioned premises and hand over the possession of the property to the revision petitioners.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioners would submit that the proceedings under the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Right and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act are of a summary nature 2/4

and hence, the proceedings ought to have been disposed within a described period for summary proceedings, but the case is pending for the past four years without any progress, that the respondent/tenant by using the pendency of the RCOP is purposefully escaped from paying rent for the subject property and that therefore, the trial has to be expedited.

Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and also taking note of the fact that the rent control petition is pending for the past more than four years, the learned Principal District Munsif, Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi, is hereby directed to complete the trial in R.C.O.P.No.1 of 2019 and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
