PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to call for the records of the impugned FIR in Crime No.288 of 2022 on the file of the first respondent and quash the same as illegal. O RDER This petition has been filed seeking to quash FIR in Crime No.288 of 2022 on the file of the first respondent Police, insofar as the petitioners are concerned.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent Police would submit that in the absence of any interim order, the respondent Police has conducted investigation in Crime No.288 of 2022 and after completing investigation, the respondent Police has filed a charge sheet in P.R.C.No.61 of 2023 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Dindigul. Hence, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition.

3. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that there was a compromise arrived at between the petitioners and the second respondent / defacto complainant.

4. Considering the above said submission, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Dindigul is directed to conclude the committal 2/4

proceedings in P.R.C.No.12 of 2023 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and after committal, the petitioners are permitted to file a compromise memo before the concerned Sessions Court within a period of two weeks thereafter and on filing of such compromise memo, the concerned Sessions Court is directed to conclude the case within a period of fourteen weeks thereafter.

5. With this liberty, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 20.03.2024 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No TSG To 1.The Judicial Magistrate No.I, Dindigul.
