This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents police to give adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner on 14.11.2019. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.17407 of 2019 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) for the respondent police. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the petitioner borrowed various amount from various persons including the respondents 5 to 8. In this regard, the aggrieved persons, lodged a complaint before the respondent police as against the petitioner and the same is pending for investigation. Now the petitioner is seeking police protection at the hands of the respondents 5 to 8. 4.In these circumstances, the police protection cannot be given to the petitioner. However, the dispute is civil in nature, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned civil Court in accordance with law.
