Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned voter list for the 4th ward for the local body election 2019 of Nilakkottai Town Panchayat of Dindigul District dated .2019 passed by the first respondent and quash the same as illegal and restore the previous position as per the representation dated 01.11.2019. O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM,J.) The petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging the re-arrangement of wards in the panchayat for the purpose of preparation of the voters list.

2. Essentially, the challenge is to outcome of a delimitation basis, which cannot be interdicted by writ proceedings.

3. An identical issue was considered by us in W.P(MD).No.20690 of 2019, dated 17.10.2019 and the prayer sought for in that writ petition was rejected.

4. In the light of the above, we cannot issue any direction as prayed for. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
