Prayer :- Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to direct the Learned Principal District Judge, Tiruchirappalli to expeditiously conduct the trial and dispose the Election Petition No. 29 of 2020 within a period of 3 months and allow this Civil Revision Petition and thus render justice. ORDER:- This Civil Revision Petition coming on for hearing on this day under the caption "Extension of time for Lower Court" and upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dated 10/01/2023, and direct the Court below to dispose the of the case in Election Petition No.29 of 2020, within a period of three months, and the requisition letter submitted by the II Additional District Judge, Principal District Judge(FAC), Tiruchirappalli vide in letter D.No.10629 dated 16.11.2023, this Court made the following order:
Today, this case is listed under the caption for "Extension of Time for Lower Court".
2. It is evident from the records that this Court, vide order dated 10.01.2023, directed the learned Principal District Judge, Tiruchirappalli, to dispose election petition No.29 of 2020, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Subsequently, at the request of the learned Principal District Judge, four months further time was granted, vide order dated 09.06.2023.
3. Now, the learned Principal District Judge, Tiruchirappalli, has submitted a requisition dated 16.11.2023 stating that the regular Judge has been nominated as examiner for the evaluation of answer papers of the main written examination for 2/4
the post of civil Judge, seeks two months further time to dispose of the election petition.
4. Considering the reasons assigned, two months further time is granted to dispose of the election petition No.29 of 2020 from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
