O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.09.2023 and issue patta in the petitioner's name in respect of the land comprised in Survey No.157, measuring a total extent of 1.10 Acres out of 2.74 Acres, situated at Therku Venkanallur Village, within the jurisdiction of the Rajapalayam Sub-Registration Office,

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he purchased the subject land vide a registered Sale Deed dated 01.03.2022. After the purchase of the said land, the petitioner has been in peaceful possession and enjoyment thereof without any encumbrance. Though the petitioner approached the respondent on several occasions seeking issuance of patta, no action was taken for issuance of the same. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 16.09.2023. Even thereafter, the respondent has not considered the petitioner's request. Hence, the petitioner was constrained to file the present Writ Petition. Page No. 2 of 5

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks.

Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.09.2023 on its merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and to any other interested parties who may be affected by the decision. In the event of any rival claims, the same can be agitated before the competent civil court. There shall be no order as to costs.
