ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the respondents to settle the arrears of Dearness Allowance along with interest for the belated payment of retirement benefits.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, he retired as a Special Grade Conductor on 31.05.2022. So far the dearness allowance for 12 months period from January 2018 to March 2018, July 2018 and August 2018, January 2019 to April 2019 and July 2019 to September 2019 along with interest have not been disbursed. To the said effect, the writ petitioner has given a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 by way of registered post on 19.09.2023. Since there was no response from them, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The respondents are directed to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.09.2023 within a period of four

(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on merits and in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
