ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and to file final report in Crime No. 09 of 2022 pending on the file of the respondent police within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Honourable Court.

2.The petitioner is the complainant in Crime No.9 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 457 and 380 of IPC and now the grievance of the petitioner is that, even after lapse of one year, investigation has not been completed by the Investigating Officer.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.9 of 2022 and that the investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks five months time to file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court. 2/5

4. A perusal of CD file shows that during the course of investigation, suspected persons have been examined and no clue was found.

5. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side), the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.9 of 2022 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
