ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 23.05.2022 and to register the petitioner as a contractor in the second respondent's office, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner's application to register him as a Contractor before the second respondent, dated 23.05.2022 has not been considered.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the second respondent produced the proceedings of the second respondent, dated 14.11.2022 and submitted that the application of the petitioner has been considered and rejected by taking note of the fact that the appointment of new contractors is stalled, since there are surplus Contractors in the Panchayat Union and the lesser experience of the petitioner in the Government contracts. Copy of the said proceedings had also been served to the petitioner.

4. In view of the above submission, nothing remains for further consideration in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the same, if he is so advised. 2/4

There shall be no order as to costs.
