[Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 7 to conduct car festival during first week of Karthigai month every year in Arulmighu Shri Mahamariamman Temple, Chittalarai Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District, based on the petitioner's representations dated 01.08.2022 and 18.09.2022.

2. When this Court was about to dismiss the writ petition on the ground that the relief sought for in this writ petition does not come under the purview of public interest litigation, learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.

3. In view of the endorsement so made, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
