.. Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.08.2024 within the time to be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The grievance of the petitioner is that despite issuing patta to persons in the neighbouring lands, the respondents have not considered the petitioner's request/representation dated 19.08.2024 for grant of patta in respect of the property comprised in S.No.2/1 of Aravakurichipatti Village, Panangankudi, in which the petitioner has a house.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. It is seen that patta has been issued to one Subramaniam for the very same survey number and also in favour of his daughter Hemalatha in respect of S.Nos.2/1 and 2/8 of the abovesaid village. Therefore, the petitioner is also entitled to an equal treatment and therefore, a mandamus is issued directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's

representation dated 19.08.2024 and pass orders on the lines of the patta being granted to Subramaniam and his daughter Hemalatha. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
