amount of belated payment is eligible at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of retirement to till the date of payment payable for the said monetary terminal benefits.

The instant Writ Petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondents Transport Corporation seeking the benefits under the 14th wages settlement dated 24.08.2022.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the said benefits are applicable to the petitioner from 01.09.2019. Seeking said benefits, the petitioner has sent a representation on 03.10.2024 and since there is no response, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to release the eligible benefits along with 6% interest per annum from the due 2/4
date till the date of disbursement within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. This Writ Petition stands disposed of, with above directions. No costs.
