ORDER

The petitioner is sole accused in SC.No.77 of 2020 on the file of the learned Sessions Judge, Mahalir Neethimandram (Fast Track Mahila Court), Virudhunagar district at Srivilliputhur. By judgment dated 12.04.2023, the petitioner was found guilty, convicted for the offence under Section 306 IPC and sentenced to undergo 7 years rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs.5000/- in default to undergo 6 months rigorous imprisonment. As against the conviction and sentence imposed by the trial Court, this petitioner has filed an appeal before this Court in Crl.A(MD)No.948 of 2023 and the same has been admitted by this Court on 20.10.2023. Along with the appeal, the petitioner has filed this petition to suspend the sentence.

2.Notice was ordered to the respondent on 20.10.2023. Thereafter this petition was listed on 15.04.2024 and it was adjourned to 22.04.2024. On that day this court was not inclined to suspend the sentence and therefore, directed the Registry to list the appeal for final disposal on 13.06.2024.

3.The typed set of papers is made ready. When this petition was listed on 25.03.2026, there was no representation for the petitioner and therefore, it was directed to be listed under the caption for dismissal today. Even today there is no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, this petition is dismissed for default.
