O R D E R

This Court directed the respondents to pay the interest for the terminal benefits including gratuity, EPF and other benefits with interest within a period of twelve weeks. Since the same was not paid, the present contempt petition is filed.

2. As far as the Provident Fund and Gratuity are concerned, the Learned Counsel appearing for the contemnors submitted that the interest for both were paid on various dates, i.e. on 19.09.2023, 07.11.2023 and 20.12.2023. As far as the commutation and pension arrears are concerned, the same were paid on 01.12.2022 and 27.04.2023 respectively along with applicable interest.

3. The Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that still some amount is not paid but the Learned Counsel has not specifically stated which amount is not paid.

4. Since the record shows that the contemnors have paid the entire amount, 2/4

this Court is inclined to close the contempt petition. If the petitioner is able to show some proof that some amount under any other heads are not paid, the petitioner is at liberty to reopen this contempt petition. Hence, the contempt petition is closed. No costs.
