Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take necessary action under Section 34 A and 36 of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975 by considering the representations of the Petitioner dated 18.09.2023. ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents.

2. The case of the petitioners is that the fourth respondent is unauthorizedly convening the general body meeting of a registered Society for holding election.

3. It is not for the writ Court to restrain the fourth respondent from convening the general body meeting. If Form - 7 is presented and the 2/4

same is not in consonance with the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Societies of Registration Act, 1975, it is open to the petitioners herein to move this Court at that stage. I do not want to enter into the merits of the matter for the present.

4. Granting liberty to the petitioners either to move the jurisdictional civil Court or this Court if law permits, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
