ORDER

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation has placed before this Court the proceedings of the Assistant Commissioner, Madurai City Municipal Corporation dated 19.06.2023, by which the representation of the petitioner dated 20.11.2021 has been duly considered and a copy of the same has also been given to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, who would submit that the representation of the petitioner has been considered not by the Commissioner, Madurai City Municipal Corporation, but by the Assistant Commissioner, Madurai City Municipal Corporation.

2. Admittedly, the order dated 08.02.2022 passed in W.P.(MD)No. 2553 of 2022, which is the subject matter of this contempt petition is reflected in the proceedings of the Assistant Commissioner, Madurai City Municipal Corporation. Though the petitioner may be aggrieved by the proceedings of the Assistant Commissioner, Madurai City Municipal 2/4

Corporation dated 19.06.2023, which has been passed pursuant to the directions given by this Court on 23.02.2021 in W.P.(MD)No.3043 of 2021, the petitioner's grievance can be redressed only by filing a fresh writ petition challenging the proceedings of the Assistant Commissioner, Madurai City Municipal Corporation dated 19.06.2023 and not in this contempt petition.

3. Since the order dated 08.02.2022 in W.P.(MD)No.2553 of 2022 is reflected in the proceedings of the Assistant Commissioner, Madurai City Municipal Corporation dated 19.06.2023, nothing survives for further adjudication in this contempt petition. Recording the same, this Contempt Petition is closed.
