(Zoology) as per G.O.Ms.No.72, Higher Education (K2) Department, dated 30.04.2013 and the teaching experience certificate without taking into account of the remarks made by the third respondent on the said certificate pursuant to Notification No.12/2019 dated 28.08.2019 and 04.10.2019 issued by the 2nd respondent.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's candidature for the post of Assistant Professor (Zoology), by taking into account the petitioner's qualification M.Sc. Applied Biology (Zoology), Gandhigram Rural University is equivalent to M.Sc. (Zoology), as per G.O.Ms.No.72, Higher Education (K2) Department, dated 30.04.2013, and the teaching experience certificate, without taking into account of the remarks made by the third respondent, on the said certificate.

W.P.(MD)No.25045 of 2019 2.Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that as per Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.72, Higher Education (K2) Department, dated 30.04.2013, the Degree acquired by the petitioner is equivalent to M.Sc.Zoology. By G.O(Ms).No.66, dated 24.04.2019, the Government has stated that the Degree obtained by the petitioner is not equivalent. However, in the notification issued by the second respondent, the reliance is placed only on G.O.Ms.No.72, Higher Education (K2) Department, dated 30.04.2013 and not on G.O.(Ms).No.66, Higher Education (K2) Department, dated 24.04.2019 and therefore, the recruitment will be in accordance with the notification.

3.Recording the aforesaid submission, this Writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's candidature and teaching experience without taking into account of the remarks made by the third respondent in the certificate, pursuant to the Notification No.12/2019, dated 28.08.2019 and 04.10.2019. No costs.
