ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the Appeal filed by him in Na.Ka.B11/64737/2021, pending on his file, within a time frame.

2. Heard Mr.J.M.Hassanul Bazari, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Christy Theboral, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes 1/4

notice for the respondent. By consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner purchased the property in question from one Muniyammal on 09.02.1981. The revenue entries in respect of the said property have been changed to some other person's name and therefore, the petitioner approached the Revenue Divisional Officer, Paramakudi and filed an appeal, seeking to correct the entries made in the Patta. Having found that the revenue records were changed during UDR Scheme, the Revenue Divisional Officer disposed the appeal, directing the petitioner to file an appeal before the respondent/District Revenue Officer, Ramanathapuram. As per the said direction, the petitioner filed an appeal before the respondent herein on 15.07.2021 and the same is pending so far. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking speedy disposal of the said appeal.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's appeal in Na.Ka.B11/64737/2021, would be disposed of as per seniority, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to all the necessary parties concerned, within a time frame.

Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal in Na.Ka.B11/64737/2021, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to all the necessary parties concerned, within a period of 20 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
