ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the respondents to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members in enjoying the property admeasuring Hec.0.69.50 Nanja Land at Kallapuliyoor Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District as registered cultivating tenant of the same. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, enquiry was conducted and taking note of the fact that a civil dispute is pending between the parties, the petition was ordered to be closed. 2/5

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a registered cultivating tenant and that the respondents in the petitioner's complaint are third parties and they have been interfering in his possession and also tried to attack him. 4.Considering the above, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the respondents in the petitioner's complaint, conduct enquiry and take a decision, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
