This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to grant permission and protection to the petitioner to conduct the Rekla Race event from Anumanthanpatti village to Chinnamanur Bye Pass Road, Theni District, on 22.10.2023 based on the petitioner's representation dated 30.09.2023.
2. Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that in order to conduct 'Rekla Race and Horse Race' on 22.10.2023, they sought permission of the police by giving a representation dated 30.09.2023. Till date, the said representation was not considered by the respondents. Since no order was passed, the writ petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondents have received the 2/4
representation of the writ petitioner and the same was rejected on the ground that no proper permission has been obtained from the Animal Husbandry Department and he has not obtained no objection certificate from the Highways Department, since the above said proposed road come under Highways Department and heavily traffic area.
5. Let the petitioner file a proper and fresh representation along with No Objection Certificate from the Highways Department and the permission from the Animal Husbandry Department, so that it can be considered by the respondents.
6. With the above said directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
