ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to take appropriate steps to remove the encroachments made by the sixth respondent in S.F.No.578/1, 578/2, 592 and 578/3 situate in Mellakkal Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District.

2. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, on instructions, would submit that the actions are initiated to survey the subject lands and after completing the survey, appropriate actions will be taken.

3. In view of the said submission, the Officials are directed to complete the survey and initiate enforcement action, if any encroachments are identified. It is needless to state that the procedures contemplated under the relevant statutes are to be scrupulously followed by affording an opportunity to all the parties including the encroachers. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
