ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent 1/3

police for the offences punishable under sections 294(b), 386 and 506(ii) IPC in Crime No.504 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with his brother went to the defacto complainant's shop and asked Rs.500/- to put up the Vinayagar statute for the festival, when it was refused by the defacto complainant, the petitioner and other accused said to have threatened him with dire consequences. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and his name has been falsely implicated in this case.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner accompanying with other accused demanded money from the defacto complainant with knife point for putting up Vinayagar Statute and also threatened him with dire consequences. He would further submit that petitioner herein is having seven previous cases in the rowdy elements and hence, he strongly opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the 2/3

serious nature of allegations made against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
