PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.06.2023. O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed by a Grade -II Police Constable requesting expeditious disposal of his representation made to the second respondent on 26.06.2023.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the charges as against the writ petitioner were quashed by this Court by an order dated 19.09.2019 in W.P(MD).No.20374 of 2017. After quashing the punishment, she was reinstated. However, the second respondent has imposed punishment by treating the period of suspension as medical leave. The writ petitioner has given a representation to the second respondent on 26.06.2023 to reconsider the same in the light of the judgment of the High Court.

3. In view of the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner dated 26.06.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above said directions, this writ petition stands disposed of There shall be no order as to costs.
