PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned detention order passed by the second respondent made in his proceedings in P.D.No.150/2022 dated 26.10.2022 in detaining the detenu under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act, 14 of 1982 as a bootlegger and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu, namely, Vairavanathan, son of Shanmugam, male, aged about 51 years, who is detained at Central Prison, Tiruchirappalli before this Court and set him at liberty.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents has submitted that the detention order, which is impugned herein, has already been revoked by the competent authority. Therefore, the prayer sought for in the Habeas Corpus Petition has become infructuous. 2/5

3. In view of the above, recording the said statement made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
