O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate grounds in the office of the second respondent.

2. The petitioner's father, viz., Jeyaraman died on 09.05.2019 while he was in service in the second respondent / Society. The petitioner submitted an application on 01.11.2019 seeking for compassionate appointment on account of the death of his father. Admittedly, the said application has been filed within a period of three years from the date of death of the petitioner's father.

3. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the representation of the petitioner is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. Accordingly, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's application dated 01.11.2019 seeking for compassionate appointment on account of the death of the petitioner's father, viz., Jeyaraman in the second respondent / 2/4

Society within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
